Bottle at Bruce’s Housewarming Party Tasting, London. You’re all welcome. Pours clear, classic gold with a fine, white cream head. Big corn and caramel nose with some hints of sugary bread. Medium sweet flavor with rich bread character, some grains and corn. Light to medium bodied with average, smooth carbonation. Medium sweet finish with some light hay bitterness, lots of cereal malts and plenty of doughy bread.

Draught, very big frothy head which refused to go down, hazy yellow colours with orangey taints, aroma of shamouti orange and qumquat, flavour of orange and lemon which feels just a bit artificial and a light underlying bitterness. Extremely refreshing and possibly the best radler i’ve drunk, probably due to it being consumed during trekking in the Slovensky Raj.

Draught, big stable beige head, dark brown colour with reddish taints, light chocolate aroma with some rubbery notes, overall quite muted, flavour of dark chocolate, light coffee and some dried fruits with a light but present bitterness and a long lasting sourness. Quite good but could be better.

Bottle at home in London. Pours clear, amber-brown with a creamy, beige foam head. Nose is all caramel and lightly toasted, doughy malts. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with lots of caramel, faint semi-dark fruits, toasted sugars, light earth. Medium in body with average carbonation. Sweet, lightly sugary finish with further notes of dark dough, caramel, faint dusty cocoa, some sugary fruits. The beer is defined by its sweet, caramel malt character. It’s pretty nice, but you really need to enjoy sweet, dark lagers to enjoy something like this. It isn’t overly sweet, though, which is important to note.

Bottle from the Tesco in Bratislava. Pale golden body, medium white head that goes away fast. Honeyish malty nose, light herbal notes. Actually not bad. Light peachy taste, soft maltiness, herbal notes. Light bitterish finish. This is actually damn tasty for a 3% industrial lager!

Bought at the Tesco in Budapest, shared with heavy and abemorsten in Split. Poured a milky dark pink body with a small white head. Sweet, nice grapefruity nose. Dry papery grapefruit taste, sweetish. Meh, ok.
