500 ml bottle as Amber Esencja Czarnego Piwa. Dark brown body with a fine tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate and dry fruit. Flavor is sweet malty, mild roasted, chocolate and fruity with low bitterness. Quite nice and actually somehow balanced, even this sweet and not much bitter. The chocolate sweetness balances the roasted malt and plays along with the dry fruit like a nice dessert. Nothing extraordinary but a pleasant, sweet Baltic porter.

Big brown lasting head. Barely translucent dark red body. Roasty earthy aroma with chocolatey milk notes. Sweet earthy licorice and caramel taste with papery chocolate notes. Fullish body. Mild, normal mouthfeel. Sweet-dryish chocolatey coffee aftertaste with nutty nougat and toffee notes. Some alcohol notes, too. Not bad, but a bit too sweet. With more bitter hops this could be great. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly.)

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours dark brown/black, but it has ruby notes when viewed against light. Three-finger foamy tan head. Aroma of really darkly roasted malt with perhaps anise and/or chocolate. The nose is a little complicated. Medium plus body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is smooth dark roasted malt. It is sweet. Nutty. Dark fruit. Cough syrup. Chocolate and dates or figs. Lots going on. Finishes dark, rather syrupy and sweet. Nice winter drink.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a clear black with a tint of red and a creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malts and licorice - somewhat rustic. Solid body, lots of licorice and roasted malts, a little dried fruits and an oxidized edge. Skewed, rustic and odd but quite pleasant really. 221109

Bottled 500ml. -as Grand Imperial Porter. Dark brown (almost black) coloured, medium sized pale brown head, vinous buttery chocolate nose. Roasted malt, dried fruits and licorice with notes of chocolate and toffee. Also some notes of overriped plums. Touch of smoke in the finish. Ok porter but Zywiec is still my number one.
