Bottle, 6.2%. Citric aroma, a little metallic and rough. Clear golden colour, no sediment. Quite malty flavour, a little citric and slightly unpleasant. Hint of alcohol shines through in the finish.

No head, pale honey-coloured beer. Greenery, malts (pale), and just a whiff of hop. Malty, caramely flavours over ever so slightly roasted malts; but a bit of butter as well. Diacetyl? Medium bodied; slick, grain-filled, long-lasting into the aftertaste. Good lager - rather a bit thickish, but OK.

Small, but persistent dark beige head over black beer with red highlights. Rich nose, not sweet, but mild coffee, roasted and pine needles, slightly smoked. Sweet, coffee-filled chocolate bar, melted; even a bit praliné. Medium to well-bodied, quite slick, alcoholwarming if discreet. Good porter - the real Baltic Imperial! An excellent initiative of Bractwo Piwne!

Bottle from Corti Bros. in Sacramento, CA. Smells like grainy malt with noble hop. Bright copper color with a white head that never arrived. Medium body with coarse, creamy carbonation. Flavor is very different. Sort of a mild caramel pale malt mixture. Little hot spicy points and grassy herby hop. Finishes lightly peppery. Interesting take on a pilsner. Could be a different take on a summer ale. Definitely not a drain pour.

500ml bottle from The Fine Food store at Kastrup Airport. Pours a see-through, deep tan body topped by a solid, light brown head with great lacing - very nice, indeed. Plain malty aroma with a weak note of anise. Sweet malty flavour added by a firm touch of tart, dark berries and a hint of yeast. A bit smoky impression. The sweetness is about to take over towards the end, but it’s still a well bodied bock (enjoyed while watching speed skating from Berlin on TV, 09.02.2008).

Bottled. Deep golden, rich airy head. Berryish nose with dough and hay. Sweet and fruity. Flavourful, fresh and alive. Quite hoppy with solid bready malt and a long bitter finish.
