Cask at GBBF day 3 11/08/2016. A mahogany brown coloured pour with a halo of tan head. Aroma is sweet nutty hazelnut, smoked nuts, pecan, earthy fireplace. Palate is sweet, rounded, nutty earthy. Flavour is composed of, earthy smoked nuts, earthy, cold brewed coffee earthy, little brown sugars decent. Nice coffee bean character.

Gbbf. Trübes dunkel orange braunes Bier. Geruch nach Espresso Vanille, dunkles süßes malz. Geschmack süß Röstmalzig, Espresso, Vanille, lecker.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2016. Lots of coffee. Powdery coffee. Lots of strong coffee flaviur overtook everything else.

Has a medium brown colour. Light smoky, toasty aroma. Maybe the nose shows a touch of acidity. Acrid smoke on the palate, toast. A bit thin? The thing is, though, it improves a fair as it warms. The sugars come out more and really round out the palate, allowing the smoke to impress.

Keg at Marin brewing tap room, 29/01/16. Murky brown meets algae like green topped with a moderate egg shell white cap. Nose is tangy citric shreds, lime jus, straw, light funk, grain. Taste comprises sharp citric vibes, lime, salt licks, nip of tequila, grain, damp hay. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a sharp edge. Ok stuff .... no great but I don’t feel it warrants the sub 1 scores.

Draft: Poured a murky toilet with turd brown green, the head was white. The aroma is beach funk, salt and fish guts. Taste was salty, grain, and funky gunk. I can’t believe adnielsen down this garbage juice.

On tap @ brewpub during RateBeer weekend, January 2016. Green poop appearance with a white head. Maybe the least appealing beer I’ve ever seen based solely on appearance. Aroma has garbage, old fruit, yogurt, and is twangy. Salt, yogurt, lactic acid, lemon in the very strange but not all that horrible flavor. Light body. Flavor is pretty decent but the aroma is incredibly unappealing, as is the appearance.

[1/29/16] Draught at Marin Brewing in Larkspur. Murky gray-ish amber. Aroma of stinking sea food, dirty seawater. Really bad sour flavor with yogurt and salty rotten sea food. Medium-bodied. Really weird and awful. What were they thinking?! Even 1.1 is kinda generous for this one, really nasty stuff.

On draft at Tap 25. It pours a clear pale yellow gold color with a white head. The aroma is grainy, piney and herbal. The flavor is the same with a hint of lemon cleaner that I got from some of their other IPA’s. Still, a pretty nice hop profile, but without the lemon cleaning fluid notes this would’ve been several ticks higher for me.

On draft at Tap 25. It pours a lightly hazed dark orange color with an off white head. The aroma is strong with florals, orange, peach and mango. Fruity and complex. The flavor is full bodied with some caramel, dank, flowers, pineapple and mandarin orange. A little menthol and lemon cleaning fluid in the finish. Not bad.
