Description
Heineken España started its operations in Spain in 1984. In that year the Madrilenian brewery of El Águila, founded in 1900, was acquired. The next year Heineken El Alcázar, founded in 1928, was acquired. As usual by Heineken the brand wasn't brewed for many years, but it was reintroduced in 2019. It is brewed in Jaén. In 2000 the major merger of Heineken España and Cruzcampo took place. Cruzcampo was founded in Seville in 1904 by Roberto and Tomás Osborne Guezala. The brand has 4 breweries in Madrid, Jaén, Valencia and Seville. The latter city has been home to a brand new factory since 2008, which replaces the old 1904 brewery.

330ml can from Carrefour Express in Madrid, Spain. Happy Cinco de Mayo. Pours a crystal clear gold color with a large white head and great retention. Good lacing. Light pilsner malt aroma. More of a pale lager flavor versus a pilsner, with a slightly sharper, crisper finish. Very smooth and clean. Lightly sweet. Straightforward and good. Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Not bitter.

tostada indeed. dark to maghony brown very light brown to beige head. looks like a dark vienna or a brown ale
aroma totally dominated by cola nut aroma. should i guess, i was having a cocacola with a slice of resh lemon, cola wine gums. quite unexpected.
flavor is cola nuts, faint lemon, faint nutty malty note. could easily pass for a cola of some sort, except the beery head. examining further i do get a malty beery backbone but the main flavor for me is cola wine gums.

330ml bottle from Carrefour Express in Madrid, Spain. Pours a semi-clear gold color with an off-white head and decent retention. Fair lacing. Standard pale lager aroma. Standard pale lager flavor too. Very clean and smooth, and slightly sweet. A good, basic lager. Medium body and light carbonation. Not bitter.
