Imperial Milk Stout 10.5%

Deep chocolatey black with wispy beige foam. Medium to full bodied and very roasty with nutty notes. It’s sweet chocolate but not cloying.

Good stuff, best of the three today.

South Horizon Brewing All Aboard IPA 7%

Another good looking brew that’s golden in color with 1cm of off-white foam. Fairly full bodied and smooth. The aroma is of an old skool piney IPA. The taste is fairly bitter and adds some balancing sweetness but unfortunately those off-putting trashy vegetal notes. Underwhelming.

South Horizon Nap on Deck APA 5.5%

Beautiful Amber gold with thick light beige foam and a citrusy juicy fruit type aroma promised good things. The medium body and smooth mouthfeel with a more classic balanced APA profile seemed fine but I kept getting some kind of vegetal almost stewed cabbage flavor in the background which detracted from the brew so just kind of meh.

Still for a brewery that started in 2023, not too bad.

Very interesting stuff. Got that maltiness you’d expect, bit of bitterness. But milky too. Light spice. Very interesting.

The name puts me off but it’s actually really nice. Pleasant sweetness. Berry fruitiness. Creamy. Great! Eh? It’s 8%? I had no idea!

Nice stuff. Easy going. Not so much grapefruit but a little bit of citrus.

Nice refreshing stuff. Lots of yuzu. Just a touch of saltiness. Quite light. Very easy drinking.

Kind of rubbery but not too much New England. It’s ok. Fruity. Not so heavy

Not my favourite. Quite high bitterness.

Nice stuff! Malty but great. Bit of lemon. My description makes it sound boring but it’s really nice
