330ml bottle. Opalescent, orange, dark golden to amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally bready and spicy, malty and minimally doughy, yeasty aroma, hints of bread crust, a buttery touch, butterscotch. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally bready and toasty malty, slightly bitter hoppy, hints of bread crust, minimally fruity overtones with a touch of apricot; a minimally buttery touch in the finish. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Not as boring as many other Exports, still a bit monotonous - acceptable.

Im Glas präsentiert sich dieses Helle aus dem Ruhrpott hellgoldgelb und klar mit mittelgrober Perlage. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone zeigt sich dabei stabil und sehr gut haltbar. Die Duftaromatik wirkt sehr schön getreidig und weißbrotartig malzig. Eine leicht trocken wirkende Hopfennote vernimmt man dabei aus dem Hintergrund. Der Antrunk kommt frisch, angenehm spritzig und leicht süßlich-getreidig-malzig. Im Mundgefühl nimmt man einen mäßigen, weichen Körper mit sehr feiner Rezenz einer samtigen Textur und einer leichten Trockenheit wahr. Geschmack und Aromen zeigen getreidige bis weißbrotartige Malznoten, einen leichten Hauch von Zitrus, sowie würzig-kräuterige Hopfenaromen, die sich sehr gut ins Geschehen einbinden. Auch wenn dieses Bier relativ einfach scheint, entsteht ein ganz gutes Gesamtbild und eine ebenso gute Drinkability. Man darf auch nicht vergessen, dass ein Helles keine Fehler im Brauverfahren verzeiht - da lässt sich nichts kaschieren. Und Fehler sind keine zu erkennen! Im Nachtrunk bauen Malznoten und Rezenz ab - danach wird es etwas leer, bevor sich eine trocken wirkende, heuige Hopfennote einstellt. Mein Fazit: An bayerische Helle kommt es selbstverständlich nicht heran. Dennoch sehr sauber, absolut dem Stil entsprechend und voll okay.

Grainy and strawy, pale malty and slightly grassy hoppy aroma, hints of sorrel. Taste is grainy and minimally strawy, slightly spicy, pale malty, slightly bitter and grassy hoppy, subtle residual sweetness, weak grassy tartness, a touch of sorrel. Slightly oily, watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, scattered, mildly prickly carbonation. Fairly hoppy, rather grainy - nothing the world has desperately waited for.

0.33 l can from 'Craft Bier Bude', best before March 2024. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, moderately fruity-floral aroma of grains, some lemon peel and a touch of hay. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, a bit fruity-floral taste of grains, some lemon peel and light hay, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly dry finish with a touch of cardboard. Almost medium-bodied, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Solid Helles, highly quaffable, well-balanced, just a little off in the finish.

0.33 l bottle from 'Craft Bier Bude', best before October 2024. Minimally hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly fruity-floral aroma of honey, apricot and some grains. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter and a bit fruity-floral taste of honey, grains, straw and hints of iron, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Average Export, very classic, no rocket science.
