16 oz. can, pours a clear dull blonde with a medium white head. Aroma reveals crisp grassy hops, crackery malt, and a touch of herbal notes. Flavour is bright and hoppy, with lots of grassy hops, pine, and crisp crackery malt. Bitter, biting and grassy. Excellent IPA.

Pale amber, slight haze, almost sweaty, but nice biscuity pale malt, good balance, higg quality.

On tap at Chuck's CD, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma is very weedy, with intense weedy grassiness and a touch of herbal notes — weediest helles I've ever had. Flavour is extremely bitter and weedy — this doesn't taste like a typical helles — with huge pot-like hops, plenty of bitterness, and a soft malt base. Atypical but pretty nice.

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp grassiness, light herbaceousness, and crackery malt. Flavour is bright and correctly structured, with crisp grassy hops, fresh herbaceousness, straw and crisp crackery malt. Exactly what I want from a helles — clean, nicely hopped, gently herbaceous. Very good as usual from the lager masters. --- Beer merged from original tick of Gold Dot Luxurious Helles on 28 Sep 2024 at 07:39 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5. Original review text: 16 oz. can, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has light grassy hops, crisp biscuity malt, and some straw. Flavour is crisp and clean, with grassy hops, herbal notes, and straw. Clean and drinkable but not as biting as I'd want it.

Bright gold, fairly thick head. Big slightly toasty pale malt, well balanced helles with just enough bitterness and a rich malt character.
