GABF2009 - acidic, tart, a tad briny/salty, with a sour punch on the end - light malt character - refreshing, but lacking the complexities of the better examples of the style - the fact that they were offering it with syrup as well should have tipped me off - it’s refreshing, there’s just not much going on.

A lightly hazed blonde weisse with a thin white head. A milkey malt aroma, light epsom salts. In mouth, a lightly sour and refreshing beer with chlaky notes, light and smooth. Tap at BCTC 2009.

[At GABF 2004] A hazy yellow beer with a small white head. The aroma is grassy and hoppy. And the flavor is lovely with strong notes from a nice hop sort, giving it notes of hop acids, hop oils, as well as grass. Nice IPA.

[At GABF 2004] A hazy amber beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet and sour with notes of raspberries and wood. The flavor is sour, which draws out the mouthwater, like a Belgian original, and also contains notes of wood and raspberries. I believe this is the best non-Belgian Framboise I’ve had - nice.

A hazy - not unclear - pale yellow beer with a fine white head - too light in color. The aroma is very wheaty combined with hints of banana. The flavor is sweet and dominated by wheat, while the mouthfeel is flat.

Ommegang fest. Reddish brown and hazy. Intense sour cherry aroma. Wow. Great tart sour cherries with a little saltiness which compliments the kriek. Very nice kriek indeed. One of my best of show at the Ommegang fest.

(draught - name spelled as 'Kreik de Hill') Very beautiful red with little pink rim of foam. Very nice fruity smell, more raspberry than kriek. Raspberry flavour, citrussy with a remarkable cocos flavour, velvetty. Nice lactic and fruitacids. some acidburn, relieved by the 'cocos'. Nice - brewer complains of too much oak, but I cannot find it a problem. Funny about the raspberry flavour.
