Can, 0.5l. Cloudy deep copper pour, one finger frothy off-white head, good retention. Slight lacing on the glass, surprisingly. Malty and grainy nose, some stale grass notes. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. Average mouthfeel and texture, soft and easily drinkable, a bit watery. Sweet taste with herbal and alcohol bitterness in the background. Aroma of caramel malt, herbs, grains and stale grass. Mild alcohol, hints of dried fruits. Short lasting finish. Not bad for the price but nothing to get excited about either.

0,5 l bottle as Oettinger Helles. Clear golden in the glass, small white head. Smells low grassy. Taste is mid grainy, some caramel. Above average carbonated. Inconspicuous but not bad.

Our cheap German beer with the bad reputation. 0,5 l bottle. Clear dark golden with a more than two finger white frothy head. Nothing wrong with this. Musty grainy smell with low citrus in the background. Taste is grainy, straw with metallic dry bitterness. Not really bad but also not pleasant. Yes, it´s drinkable but I didn´t enjoy it.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 10A). Can 50 cl - Batch B3 00:17 (BBF 21.10.2021). AROMA: medium-low spicy aroma (clove, banana), slight citrus and a medium-low to low wheat background. APPEARANCE: pale gold color and slightly hazy. medium white head with good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma but less intense with medium-low to low clove, medium-low to low wheat background. balanced medium bitternes with a semi-dry to dry and slightly wheaty finish. MOUTHFELL: medium to medium-low body with slight creaminess. medium carbonation. OVERALL: a weissbier with an absurd price/quality relation.
