On the label: brewed in Schwerin! Malt and citrus in the aroma. Bit tart. Hint of chocolate in the flavor with grapes and citrus. Not bad.

Malty aroma. Sweetish, bland and a bit sticky. Still not too bad for a very cheap (less than $ 0,25 for 0,5 litre)lager. Sadly the local Extra supermarket in Nordhorn has discontinued the sale of this beer.

Malty, flowery, bit soapy aroma. Rather thin. Malty flavor with licorice, cinnamon and pepper. The taste is not too bad, but the beer is thin and not well balanced. Still value for money at $0,30 per 0,5 litre.

I know this beer well. It was available until some months ago in the supermarket in Nordhorn for only $ 0,30 a bottle or so. It has all the characteristics of a good schwarzbeer (roasty, coffeish flavors, deep black color) but it is a bit thin. Mine was brewed in Gotha, not in Oettingen. Still great value for money.

Amber color, fruity aroma (mango). Sweetish, malty flavor. Fruity (tropical) and rather sticky. Not a very pleasant aftertaste, a bit skunky.
