On tap at Ølfestival 2011. A clear, dark amber beer with a minimal beige head. Lots of citrus and pine on the nose, sweetish and lightly alcoholic. Sweet and lightly roasted, sugary and caramel-ish with tropical fruits. Full-bodied and warming, light sticky on the palate. Bitter, sweet and fruity finish. An intense, sweet and tasteful beer, not your everyday tripel, but I’d like to drink more of this anyway. 110527

On tap at Ølfestival 2011. It pours a more or less black body, with a small, dense, off-white to light beige head. Some lacings. Roasted, chocolatey aroma with some coffee and grassy notes. Roasted malts, chocolate and grass in the flavor too. Dry, medium to full body and a lasting finish. Nothing extraordinary going on here, but a quite nice beer anyway. 110527

On tap at Ølfestival 2011. A black one, with a small off-white to light beige head. Roasted aroma with a good coffee touch. The flavor is pretty much the same, roasted malts and coffee, and also some fruity, light resiny hops. Roasted kind bitterness, both initially and in the end. Dry, medium bodied. Overall, a bit one dimensional, but easy drinkable and hides the alcohol well. 110527

On tap at Ølfestival 2011. A clear, golden beer with a minimal-sized, dense, beige head. Orange, grass notes, pineapple and some maltyness in the aroma. The flavor is sweet and malty, with grass and resiny hops. Decent bitterness both initially and in the end. Medium body, smooth. A pleasant and easy drinkable beer that won’t scare many newcomers and the same time isn’t very impressing. But as said, easy drinkable and tasteful. 110527

On tap at Ølfestival 2011. A brown to black beer topped by a minimal-sized off-white to beige head. Roasted and sweetish on the nose, with a solid dose of coffee. Roasted and sweet flavor with some piney hops and a decent bitterness. A bit thin on the palate, nicely carbonated. Roasted and bitter end. A quite nice beer, drinking easily. 110527

On tap at Ølfestival 2011. Almost black, with a decent light tan head. Lacings. Salty licorice, roasted malts, chocolate and sweetness on the nose. In the mouth it’s sweet and warming, roasted and dry, with some chocolate and coffee. Decent bitterness. Full-bodied, smooth and warming, finishing roasted, bitter and with some alcohol. A quite lovely beer, tasteful, complex and delicious. 110527

Sample at SBWF 2011. Draught. Clear, deep amber body with medium off-white head. Looks like an IPA should. Aroma of citrus, gooseberries (simcoe that is), grapefruit, grassy and floral hops and some caramel malt. Taste is lightly sweet, highly bitter and nicely hoppy. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Really tasty IPA, lots of hoppy goodness.
