Description
Two locals, whose grandparents were still working in the mine, developed the beers. The plan to brew on a large scale soon followed. The first liters of Kompel beer poured out of the tanks at Brouwerij Anders! Kompel Bovengronds was quickly successful and six months later Kompel Ondergronds came onto the market. Between the summer of 2015 and 2018, the beers were brewed at Kasteelbrouwerij Ter Dolen in Houthalen-Helchteren. Since 2019, the beers have been brewed on a larger scale at the Pilot Brewery in Lochristi.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Clear dark golden with a white head. Parfumy hoppy aroma with some light peach and apricot. Sweet taste with a sweet to low-bitter finish. Smooth as silk, the hefty 10,5 % ABV is almost not noticeable at all. Only a slight warming feeling in the finish. Not as hop-forward as other tripel hops but very nice overall.

Clear amber with a dense ivory head. Flowery hop aroma with some malt sweetness. Sweet taste with a medium bitter finish. Started out as a standard Belgian blonde but after warming up a bit the flowery aroma really is nice.

De bladhoning komt er inderdaad mooi door. Maar al bij al toch wat weinig weerwerk tegen het zoete om de balans in evenwicht te houden.
