Draught at the braugasthöfen
Hazy light blond color; generous head, compact. Strangely there is aroma of Weizen, mild; then, timid, some noble hop appears, a bit lemony too. The mouthfeel is light, dry too; we can’t really talk of malt flavor, but there is a good bitterness level, and the hopping is partially aromatic, with a light grassy touch. Simple but pleasant.

Clean amber color, just a bit darker than the Jubiläum, but with a more generous head. Light caramel aroma, with hidden noble hops. Correct body strength; the mouthfeel is rather dry; the flavor is driven by some dry caramel; it has a correct bitterness, with some roasted malt in the final. Simple, not daring.

Draught at the braugasthöfen; 5.1% ABV
Clean amber color, just a bit lighter than the Schwärzberg Gold. Light aroma of cereals, light roasted malt and light alcohol. Smooth mouthfeel; there is some caramel and cereals flavor, but it’s quite poor. Correct bitterness. Too much leaning to the cereals (and too much caramel to be an Oktoberfest).

Cloudy golden color. Weizen aroma, with the classic spices and some banana, mild and a bit metallic, with some yeast. The body is quite weak, the mouthfeel is also impacted by a high carbonation level; it’s dry, with just hints of wheat and spicy yeast, and a bit more evident banana. The bitterness is correct. Easy.

Blond color, same as the Export. The aroma is light, a bit grassy; there is also a light yeast trace that reminds me some harsh English Bitter, then some Danish poor brew. The flavor is quite ordinary, with light and dry malt, and a quite bold bitterness; there is a minimal trace of grassy and lemony hop, but it’s not enough. It’s too close to many bottled Lagers.

Blond color. Delicate, nice aroma of noble hops, and biscuity malts, dry; but also not persistent. There is just a bit more malt and cereals flavor than in the Pils; bold bitterness, with very light hop characteristics. The best of their offer, but really nothing special,

Bottle: Amber coloured, small stable off-white head, light caramelly-toasty nose, shy hoppy and metallic traces; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied, realtively soft; toasty traces with metallic undertones in the relatively dry caramelly-hoppy finish. Disappointing brew from an excellent brewer......

bottle, with many thanks to pivnizub! Cloudy pale golden colour, large and very creamy head. Lovely citrus-hoppy nose. Light- to medium-bodied, elegant malty background with lots of citrusy hops all over the palate. Bitter-sweet, lovely citrus flavours, pleasantly bitter. A delicious and well balanced beer. Interesting how different and unusual beers can be within the boundaries of the Reinheitsgebot. Delicious!

Bottle:Pale golden with a greenish sheen, small white foamy layer; grainy to pale-malty nose with a delicate, but well detectable hoppy base; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, almost medium bodied, quite soft; lingering woody-hoppy and grainy finish, followed by some nutty spots in the aftertaste. Well drinkable Export......

Bottle: Cloudy, pale golden to golden, big stable creamy off-white head with a good lace; rich citric - quelle surprise - hoppy nose with a mild malty background; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied and a bit fizzy; fruity-hoppy aromas return in the moderate sweet-bitter finish. One of the first GERMAN IPA’s, should be continued......
