500ml bottle. Pours opaque dark brown to black with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, Christmas cake, light Christmas spices. Taste is roasted malt, plums, Christmas cake. Long bitter finish. Medium to full bodied. Nice.

Appearance: foggy bronze colour with a large off-white frothy head of good retention. Aroma: grain, caramel, esters, floral hop. Taste: light sweet, medium bitter. Good malt and hop. Mouth feel: light to medium body, average carbonation. Overall: a model bitter.

Appearance:clear deep gold to pale amber, decent off-white frothy head. Aroma: biscuit malt, earth, herbal and floral hop. Taste: light sweet, medium to heavy bitter. Biscuit, honey, herbs, wormwood, earth. Lingering hoppy ending. Mouth feel: medium body, soft to average carbonation. Summary: pleasant old-school stuff.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate. some roast, mild herbs and some bready tones. Flavour is chocolate, roast, mild rye bready, herbal and grainy tones. Smooth and chocolaty aftertaste with some wooden tones too.
