Cask gravity at K&ES 2023. Black beer lasting tan head. Chocolate and liquorice aroma. Good full flavour and mouthfeel. Very good condition. Bit too much liquorice for me. But a good dry porter.

Gravity dispense at the 'Beer Like Your Grandad Used To Drink' Beer Festival, Ramsgate Tunnels, 13/05/23. Clear golden blonde with an off white cap. Nose is grass, tangerine, light breads, citric tinged straw. Taste comprises melon, mineral bite, lemon rind, straw, toasted grains. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close peppered with modest earthy hop bitterness. It's okay but not one to revisit for me ... probably the weakest beer I've had from them ... just didn't quite sing.

Nose is chocolate, roast malts, toffee, toasted brown sugar. Taste comprises cocoa powder, chocolate biscuit, dark malts, roasted tones, light spice. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close. Solid cask porter.
