Aroma is kind of odd- no pear and just something kind of perfumy sweet/fruity and ashes. Flavor’s way too sweet, again no pear plus the carbonation is light. The carbonic tang would’ve helped to cut the sweetness. Finish is ok.

*Bottle in Ireland as Bulmers Original. Smooth and fresh apples. Round and tasty with not too much depth, fruity with nice slightly sourish apples. Sessionable cider.

On keg at Mahons Hotel, Irvinestown. Appearance - amber with a decent head. Nose - light red fruit and biscuits. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - a solid example of the style.
