Flaming Star is my favourite Elvis film. This could become a favourite cream ale, and its creaminess does follow a healthy hoppy-bitterness. The bitterness part is mild.

Deep dark brown with a slight ruby tinge, and a bubbly / frothy tan head and soft roasted malt, a touch of caramel and maybe a hint of vanilla on the nose. Light to medium bodied, fresh and fruity, some roasted malt, chocolate with vanilla notes, finishes dry and a little bitter.

Sting is the first voice heard on Dire Straits's 'Money For Nothing'. The honey isn't quite nothing here, but it's light, with a slightly more sessionable hoppiness available.

On this drinking day in 1949 the Queen Charlotte Earthquake took place in Canada measuring 8.1 - it's not had a larger one since. This Queen is worth measuring too, with the vanilla heavy in aroma, providing a smoothness to texture, although it's somewhat bitter with its roasted malts in taste. Dark brown colour.

Oldham Beer Festival 2025, beer number 12 of the afternoon. Black with a heavy coffee influence here, quite a gritty stout taste for it.

Beer number 17 at the Wigan Beer Festival 2025. Chocolate blast in aroma and taste, dissipating in aftertaste. Decent though.
