Pint from the Royal Hop Pole Tewkesbury. Pale gold colour with a slight white head. Aroma has hops and citrus, taste also with a slight bitterness. Very easy to drink.

On cask at British Oak, Wakefield - Golden yellow body with thin white head. Fruity nose with apricots and orange, taste is pretty much the same. Rather thin body, with balanced sweetness and a short, clean citrus finish. Refreshing enough on a hot day.

Hand-pulled half-pint in Montgomery Towers, Shrewsbury on 27th Jan 2014. Amber with a creamy head that gave some impressive lacing. The beer sweetened as it warmed a little in the glass, it has almost equal measures of both malt and hops within the nose and flavour with a slightly fruity feel throughout. Decent and fairly interesting.

Cask, handpump at The Old Green Tree, Bath, Saturday 25th January 2014 Pours dark brown a little chestnut in colour I guess, not much in the way of a head. More of a fruity stout than a rich stout in my opinion, in fact until I just read the description I wouldn’t have even guessed it was a stout. One of those beers that you just drink without giving it too much thought. A bit boring but overall ok. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Cask at the Belle Vue, High Wycombe. Dark brown with a moderate creamy head. Sweet from the start; brown sugar is dominant, with some chocolate too. Roasted malts make an appearance late in the day and don’t quite balance it. Maybe a little thin too. Pleasant enough but rather on the sweet side for me.
