Description
Hambleton Brewery was born in 1991, when Nick Stafford decided to start a brewery at the bottom of his in-laws’ garden.in a converted outbuilding at the brewer's in-laws house in Holme-on-Swale. Success of the beers lead to a need to expand which resulted in a moved to a location at the opposite end of the village, The Brewery, Holme-on-Swale, in 1994. Brewing capacity was doubled in 2000. The brewery relocated to its current address in 2007.

Very dark brown ale with dry, toast-like flavours and a touch of wineyness in the finish. Fishman is right - there are so many better English porters on the export market (Fuller's, Sam Smith's, Salopian Entire Butt)
