Description
On September 15, 1923, the Mexicali Brewery opened its doors and quickly became one of the biggest and solid industrial facilities in the Northwest region of the Republic.
AB InBev acquired the Mexicali brand in November 2015 via a subsidiary of Grupo Modelo in a deal that included the craft breweries Cervecería Mexicana and Cervecería Tijuana.

330ml bottle at Lucky Lupitas, North Adelaide. 6.15% Pours ruby red with a two finger white head. No carbonation visible. Nose is sweet malt. Flat mouthfeel. Caramel malt all the way. Finish has slight pepper notes, no alcohol noticeable. Solid Vienna lager, goes well with Mexican food.

Rooty garbage like you threw your clippings in the trash can in the summer head. Pours golden with ok head. Lots of earth. Some bitter hops, herbal stuff. Bitter with odd tang. Bottle pour at beer festival.

Bottle from Booths, Media City. Copper-orange with a thin head. Its noticeable strength seems to negate its hefeweizen character, although there’s some of this styling here.
