I had no idea who or what Ed Hardy was before drinking this beer. I feel like I’ve lost whatever remained of my innocence. Plain, bland Mexican beer with an annoying label. Beer designed mostly for a specific, tiny subset that probably isn’t even aware it exists.

Bottle at Butters’ Slutfest: Barley malt aroma. Yellow, headless. Light malt flavor. Very weak, but not as corny and adjunct laden as I expected.

12oz bottle. Filtered yellow tan with a foamy white head. The aroma is quite bad corny, vegetable, diacetyl. Simply bad. Sugary, with tons of off flavors going on. This is the kind of beer that punishes anyone who ticks any and all beers. There is no way that anyone in the world enjoys this beer. Disturbingly bad, probably a realistic example of "Premium" Mexican beer.

Bottle from Brewforia Beer Market, Meridian, ID The anticipation is killing me, it’s been a long time since I rated a Mexican Lager. Hazy dark yellow pour with a fleeting white head, that quickly settles into a patchy skin covering about 2/3 of the surface. Sweet apple and corn aroma. More sweet weak vegetal flavors and barely enough fizz to call itself carbonated. I suppose this would wash down a few spicy enchiladas at a dive Tex-Mex resturaunt, but that is all.

Bottle. It’s a clear, pale golden beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma is slightly skunky, but just a little bit, with grains and some hops. The flavor is sweet, malty and slightly fruity, some unpleasant wet cardboard notes too. Thin to medium on the palate. Short, luckily, finish with some fruity notes. Well, maybe it is better straight from the brewery, a trip across the pond probably didn’t do any good. 101027

A crisp and smooth dark lager. Has a hint of wine gum like fruit in the background. Alright.

Warning! Early amateur rating! A crisp porter with good carbonation. Has a refreshing tangy sourness but is not bitter at all. Another good Mexican beer!

12oz bottle. Hazy yellowish-orange with a thin white head. Buttery sweet aroma. Smooth and malty, some odd mild butterscotch, butter off flavors. Balanced by some faint lemon hops. Insipid at best, doesn’t really have a light feel to it, just hollow and devoid of quality. Not the worst of the worst, but still a joke of a beer.
