Cask at Sun, Stafford Pours classic bitter brown with a small cream head and good lacing. Some hops in the nose. Taste is bitter with biscuits and malts, and a hint of smokiness. Textyure is thin and watery. And finish is basically nothing. It’s OK I guess. More of a bitter than a brown ale by the way.

Hand-pulled half-pint at the Sun Inn, Stafford on 12th Mar 2020. Red hue to the deep amber body, off-white crust. Malty with a semi-sweet feel throughout. A bit one dimensional.

Half-pint, cask shared with Finn after breakfast at Ritz. Patchy beige head, near-clear amber body, fair lacing. Moderate ripe citrus nose. Fruity taste, moments of orange and grapefruit alongside a piney touch to the ending. Fine depth. Pleasing. (Lincoln 30.01.2020).

Half-pint shared with Finn, cask at Draughtsman Alehouse. Cloudy orange golden body under a slowly diminishing off-white head. Upper part lacing. Moderate dough fruity nose. Taste of apricot joined by pale malts. Short, malt-fruity ending. Average stuff. (Doncaster Station 28.01.2020).

Cask @ The Broken Bridge, Pontefract. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are grass, straw, fruits, hops, malt and has a nice bitter and grassy finish.

Cask at the Last Post (JDW), Southend on Sea. Lightly hazed gold with a thick white head. Nice fresh citrus and floral hops up front die down a little as you drink more. Mild bitterness and a slight dryness in the finish. Pleasant enough.
