Cask-conditioned at the Lime Kiln, Bristol 10/4/2016. Deep gold in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Aroma of citrus fruits with some leafy. Flavour was sweetish, with more fruit, cereal malts and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask pint in The Pheasant, Wellington Shropshire on 17th April 2016. Dark ruby with a full head: malty and sweet with dark fruity flavours. Found it hard going towards the end of the pint to be honest, I have struggled with beers from this brewery before but thought I would give them another chance: wish them well, but their beers are not for me.

Cask handpump at The Joseph Else, Nottingham, Saturday 9th April 2016 with dad. Pours warm gold with a short lasting white to off white head. Raspberry notes on the nose, in the mouth this has a sweet fruity tang, I guess that the raspberries are just about discernible, it is absolutely fine however not a beer I would seek out again. We left both this and the Kelham Island Ace of Spades, though this was a little better. . A6 A4 T5 P3 Ov11 2.9

Cask handpull at The Ship & Mitre Liverpool. Clear brown colour thin collar bubbles. Some malty fruit. Plums. Some earthy hop. Ok condition and temperature. Some black berry. Very fruity. Some dryness on the finish. Veryy good dark to red to plummy fruits with some drying hops on the finish. Good.

Cask @ Maltings, York. Very dark with a small creamy head. Has a smooth chocolate taste and plenty of aroma in this respect too.

Bottle. Dram Shop, Sheffield. Clear, light gold. Constant stream of fine bubbles. Good, dense, lasting, lacing, white head. Nose has lemon puff biscuit. Damp grain. Some grassy hop. Notes of toffee malts. Taste is soft sweet. Light, grassy bitterness. Clean mouthfeel. Easy drinking. The grassy bitterness rises on the finish. Starts off a bit too sweet, for me, but overall, it’s a quaffable, tasty beer.
