Cask at the Devonshire Arms, Cambridge. Mid-gold with very little carbonation. Grapefruit, Chardonnay and hay aroma. Citrusy bittersweet taste. Decent body, although a little more natural carbonation would have been wonderful. It’s a good beer.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear straw colour with a bubbly white head. The aroma is light grassy hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light, slightly watery, nettle resin hop palate and a long lasting bitter finish. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask @ The Stamford Post, Stamford. Golden with a thin bubbly head. Malts in nose with a more balanced taste with a few hops evident and a hint of fruit. Has a nice dryness in its aftertaste.

On cask at the Pheasant in Wellington. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head and a slight haze. Nose - meadow flowers, maybe some apple. Taste - stewed apples and light citrus. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - a decent ale.

[ As Milestone New World Bitter ].Clear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, earthy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, fruity, malty. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141008]
