On cask on a messy night in Sheffield - Deep black body, decent tan head. Nose is dark chocolate, with a light sugar background. The taste is helped by an excellent body, with the sweetness making this too easy to drink. I know I enjoyed this, but several scenes have been deleted from what followed.

Cask at the White Cross, Lancaster, 01/03/15. Amber to golden with a decent light beige covering. Nose is rich in fruit, biscuit, light spice, toffee. Taste follows, biscuit, toffee, light notes of dark fruit rind, bitter orange. Medium bodied, fince carbonation, bitter notes in the close. Decent enough ESB, good balance, carries some flavour to it.

Brown colour. Itโs a nice bitter. Itโs dry and nutty with a fruity edge. Floral and fragrant.

Pint from the three Horseshoes, Waddington @ 4.8%. Deep black colour with tan head. Very chocolate and coffee aroma. Taste bitter, slightly sweet.

Bottle from brewery. Deep dark amber colour with tan head. Aroma has toffee, burnt and roast malts, the taste is mid sweet and a touch bitter.

Cask, one-third at Ship & Mitre. Creamy, pearl white head blanketing the glass. Deep golden colored body. Mild aroma of leafy hops. Mixed taste of grainy malts and fruity bitterness. Thin to medium bodied. Refreshing (Liverpool 31.01.2015).

500ml bottle from the brewery. Deep orange colour with a white head. Slight citrus aroma. Not sure itโs really an ipa, not very hoppy. Taste has a slight bitterness
