500ml bottle from Doddington Hall Farm Shop. Golden colour with a slight white head. Aroma is sweet with hay and citrus lemon. Flavours are sweet citrus with fruit. Bitter finish.

500ml bottle from doddington hall farm shop. Slightly hazy golden colour with very little head. Aroma has fruit and citrus. The taste has more citrus and some wheat. A touch sweet.

Cask @ White Lion, Heptonstall. Extremely dark with a creamy head. Has a fair amount of chocolate in this, but obviously not overstated given it’s a mild ale that is mild tasting.

Bree Louise. Cask. Clear deep red amber beer. Few pale tan bubblee for a head. Palate is light and semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. Very mild dark malts, tangy. Whisper of marmite. Light finish. Ho hum!

Gravity cask at the Bree Louise - London. Pours deep brown with a slight, bubbly tan head. Nice aroma, some rich cocoa, charred earth, tar, dark fruits. Light sweet flavor, more dried fruits, burnt cereal, dry cocoa, earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Nice finish, more leathery fruits, raisin, earth, cocoa. Very decent.

Cask at the Bree Louise - London. Pours clear yellow with a faint, creamy white head. Toasty grain and hay on the nose, some grass. Light to medium sweet flavor with harsh bitterness, lightly abrasive grassy hops, some lemon rind. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. Grassy bitter finish, astringent, with more lemon rind. Not great. The Bree Louise Cask Management Division have worked their magic on this one.

Bree Louise. Cask. Lightly hazy gold beer, no real head. Palate is smooth with a reasonable amount of fine carbonation. Sweet and slightly sticky pale malts. Hops are floral and quite bitter and come through on the back end. Finishes dry with a touch of citrus. A curious thing is this beer, such sweet pale malts but it’s not unpleasant.
