Description
Founded back in the Summer of 2013, Beer52 was inspired by a motorcycle road trip that our founder, James Brown, took with his Dad. Stopping at breweries in Belgium along the way, he found his love of craft beer. He set out to visit a new country every month in search of the best beers, his friend Fraser jumped on board for the ride and since then Beer52 has become the world's most popular beer club.

Beer52 didn't become the UK's most popular craft beer club for nothing - we got to where we are by giving beer drinkers the best damn beers on the planet. Our resident beer experts have visited breweries all around the world, in the search of the most interesting brews they can find. We deliver a carefully curated case of these craft beers from our favourite microbreweries every month.

I am having a mini-tasting with myself today, 17th March 2023. The wife is out with old school friends, so Bertie and I are home alone until they all turn up later to use our bar. Third beer is a 330ml can of this, via Beer52: BB 16th December 2023. Poured into a Good People brewing Co of Birmingham Alabama straight sided US pint glass. Slight haze to the pale golden body, snow white crown, smells of Popcorn, has a citrusy semi-sourness to it's taste. Like no other Kellerbier I've ever had before, it's a no from me!

Pours a clear pale straw gold colour with a large foamy white head. The aroma is malty with some grassy hop notes. A moderately sweet grainy taste, grainy malt, grassy, lemon, light spice and yeasty flavours with a light bitterness.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A very pale straw coloured pour with a billowing white head; grassy aroma; farmyard taste; with some bitter herbs to finish. This bears no resemblance to Kellerbiers I’ve had in Germany.

Frothy white head on a very hazy pale lemon coloured body. Punchy sweet fruity aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & quite lively & dry on the back. Mango, nectarine, pineapple, citrus peel & grapefruit tastes with a long bitter finish. Quite a decent beer from Beer52.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A hazy pale amber pour with a thin white head; fresh citrusy aroma; sweet fruity taste - raspberry and pineapple fruit salad perhaps; then a drier finish with some citrus and coconut. Not bad.

330ml can - Pours a hazy pale yellow colour with a small thin white head that settled. The aroma is fruity, tropical and citrus with a hint of pine. A moderately sweet and bitter taste, pale malts and citrus flavours with some floral notes and a semi-dry hop bitterness in the finish.
