Description
Shiny was established in 2012, as a small scale operation, brewing in Derby mainly for its brew pub. Now based in the beautiful village of Little Eaton, just outside of Derby. The brewery is based in the centre of the village and has a taproom which features all Shiny’s new beers and one off pilots. Our beer story began with untraditional highly hopped cask beer and now has evolved into brewing a range of cask, keg and cans, the ethos is still the same brew beers we love to drink which means lots of hops! All beers are unfined and a good number of our core range is certified Gluten Free.

Bottle picked up at The Furnace, Saturday 25th consumed at home Sunday 26th July 2015 A little smokey on the nose. Mid amber in colour with a filmy white head. Quite disappointed with this, plenty of caramel, but not a lot of hoppiness. It’s a rather drab bitter, does not a lot for me. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov10 2.9

Bottle picked up at The Furnace, Saturday 25th consumed at home Sunday 26th July 2015 Warm hazy yolky gold in colour with a fluffy white head. Refreshing golden beer, with a hoppy bittersweet bite. Bitterness lingers and stays to the end, some lemon and a dry furry rip across the roof of the mouth. Good. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4

Bottle picked up at The Furnace, Saturday 25th July 2015 consumed at dad’s, Kilburn the same day in the company of Dad, Pauline, Scott and Mandy. Cloudy yolky orange appearance with a white sticky head. Nice soft mouthfeel, piney in the mouth, strength is well hidden, streaky hoppiness, tangy. Good. A7 A3 T7 P3 Ov15 3.5
