Description
Blue Bee Brewery is an independent brewery in the heart of the valley of beer in Sheffield, England.
Blue Bee was set up in 2010 by Richard Hough, former head brewer at Abbeydale, who has also done stints at Acorn, Crown, Spire, Raw and Marble. Starting his own brewery allows him to use this invaluable experience on his own terms, creating beers that are noted for “quality, consistency and with a slight addiction factor”. In 2014 the business was acquired by Reet Ale Pubs, which runs three pubs in Sheffield.

Sheffield CAMRA Steel City Beer Festival 2024. Dark beer, with a heavy coffee beans aroma and taste, so the only mild character here is its texture and strength.

Cask @ Three Pidgeons, Halifax. Dark ruby-brown with a thick off-white head. Easy dark ale, although not much dark character in reality, just very pleasant in the palate with some malty notes.

Cask. Gravity dispense. Steel City Beer Festival. Unclear dark chocolate brown. Slim head. Decent vinous chocolate coffee malt notes. Oaky character. Semi sweet with a firm bitterness. Drinks well under the 7.3. Nice. Kept going back to this and the Thornbridge / Kernel beer tbh.
