Description
Blue Bee Brewery is an independent brewery in the heart of the valley of beer in Sheffield, England.

Blue Bee was set up in 2010 by Richard Hough, former head brewer at Abbeydale, who has also done stints at Acorn, Crown, Spire, Raw and Marble. Starting his own brewery allows him to use this invaluable experience on his own terms, creating beers that are noted for “quality, consistency and with a slight addiction factor”. In 2014 the business was acquired by Reet Ale Pubs, which runs three pubs in Sheffield.

Hand pulled pint in the Pheasant on 9th June 2026. Clean and clear light golden body, snow white crown on top. Dry and semi bitter with a citrus fruit leaning in both the aroma and taste. Easy going Pale Ale, could easily had another, but I was on a mission!

Celebrating my 15th incarnation found from this series with number 89, which settles clear paler golden in colour. A hoppy beer as expected, quite sessionable too, with hints of citrus and a light bitterness.

My first foray to a pub this month with this dark amber coloured brew. Hoppy as most would expect, but the red ale styling remains prominent enough, and although its body is on the fuller-side, this is more than reorderable. Gentle fruity notes combine flavourfully with a breadiness.
