Taste - citrus hops, bit of lemon, soft pale malts, bit of bitter hop in the background
Palate - Thin body, slightly oily. Finish - some bitterness, bit dry, clean finish
Overall - OK standard golden ale

Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, moderate hoppy, spicy - peppery. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, grass. Cask with Sarah. Pours a clear pale yellow with a white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has notes of light citrus and grapefruit with underlying earthy grains. Flavor starts with citrus with a hint of grapefruit and a note of backing sweet grains.

Cask at the Red Lion in the Jewelery Quarter, Birmingham. Reddish brown clear pour with a thin white frothy head. A hint of spicy hops in the aroma which pretty much dominates the flavour too. I'm not a fan of red ales, but this example was more than drinkable by virtue of its spicy liqourice palate.

Cask at Shakespeares, Sheffield. Very clear straw yellow pour with a nice white frothy head. Grassy yeasty aroma, with a citrus grassy bitter flavour which hits the palate right away. A very popular ale that’s worth tasting if you are lucky enough to find it.

Gravity dispense at the twelfth Twickenham Beer Festival - 18/10/12. Clear russett brown with a thin bubbly off white head. Biscuit malts on the nose and a hoppy aroma. Tastes of caramel, biscuit, light grapefruit notes, hops. Medium bodied with a bitter dry finish.
