Goblet at the cidery pours a pulpy orange with no head.  Nose is earthy, apple cores, some juice, some vanilla.  Whoa, big barrel in the mouth, wood shavings, vanillin, cheesy now too.  Finishes dry, some funk.  6 2 8 3 13

Pint at the cidery pours a clear dark gold, no head.  Nice nose, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, sweet apples, Graham cracker.  Super inviting.  Flavor doesn't pop as much, apple pie, apple juice, a little medicinal, maybe the spices got tannic-y.  Off dry finish, oily.  8 2 6 2 13

Fairly hazy deep copper and bronze coloured body with an ultra-fast-dying, but very large at first (5 centimetres tall) off-white head. Aroma of limes, apple, lemon and tons of ginger powder - a lot and very spicey throughout, but nice and exactly what I was expecting from the name. Light-bodied; Deep apple and spiced pear notes dominate with some allspice, coriander seed, canela and of course the deep ginger powder throughout with a lot of caramelised sugar sweetness and some light dry and yeastie/bready notes noticeable as well. Aftertaste shows the spices and pears/apples more than anything with some light dryness and herbal characteristics really shining through towards the end, but of course this is all about the initial deep pungency of the spices and apples. Overall,  a nice and pungent cider with a great layer of spices and dry notes with a lot of sweetness still, but a good option, especially when you want a little spice! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 15-June-2020 for US$3,49 sampled at my house here in Washington on 07-August-2020.

Ever so-slightly-:hazy pinky and muddied ruby coloured body with an ultra-fast-dying off-white and tan head. Aroma of light sour grapes, cherries, apples, flowers, citric acid and a dash of yeast and bread towards the end. Light-bodied; Strong appley flavour at first with some nice spices noticeable, showing cherries, allspice and some canella along with a dash of very dry hay and almost a saison-like funk at the tail end. Aftertaste is dry, very herbal, super fruity, with a light amount of sweetness throughout, all seeming to come from the fruits, and ending with a soured or citric funk and twang. Overall, a nice and dry cider, complete with some light fruit notes showing the citrus and grape notes more than anything else, and a bready and yeast bite at the very end that makes this go down, just a bit harder. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City),  Virginia on 05-May-2020 for US$2,50 sampled at my house here in Washington on 22-May-2020.

Can, WW. Just sampled the BA Vanilla version, so let's see how the original stacks up to that. Hazy pale gold with no head but carbonation evident. Ginger, clove, apple, brown sugar. Flavor is ginger, tart apple, clove, cinnamon, melted plastic. There's that damn melted plastic again, but it's not as evident in this version. And damn, ginger and cinnamon burn after it goes down. I prefer this out of the two.
