Tap at RexKL, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, zesty lemon / lime citrus. The flavour is moderate to light bitter sweet, with a light, crisp, slightly watery,, mineral, citrus fruit, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

On tap at REXKL, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a medium white head. Aroma smells like diacetyl, with floral hops, and biscuity malt in back. Flavour reveals a very strange, herbal hop character - what seemed like diacetyl probably isn't, since the base beer is all the same lager. But I'm not digging the hop expression here.

On tap at REXKL, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a medium white head. Aroma brings out lots of floral dry hopping, with plenty of citrus. Flavour is similar, with floral hops, gentle dankness, and soft pillowy malt. Lots of powdery, floral, dry hops. Pretty solid for what it is, but it's not exactly good.

On tap at REXKL, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma reveals earthy coffee upfront, with that lager yeast still coming through. Flavour is earthy, full of cheap, powdered black coffee, lager yeast, and stale malt. This is a very cheap, weak “stout” (really a black lager). Poor.

On tap at REXKL, pours a cloudy dull blonde with a small white head. Aroma is fantastically woody and spicy, with a melange of spices I can't recall pick out - there's garlic, a little fennel, earthy tea, and wood. Flavour is very dry and woody, with lots of garlic, wood, herbal and fungal notes, and more wood. Very dry, almost bone dry - with a woody, garlicy finish. Unusual stuff. I don't hate it, I don't love it - it's a fun wacky beer.

On tap at REXKL, pours a hazy dull blonde with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out plenty of sweetened plums, little else discernible. Flavour is extremely salty - wow, this is insanely salty, probably the saltiest beer I've ever had, beyond any gose I've had. Fairly sweet too, but the salt is overpowering. Nice plum character too. Damn, this is intense. The salt is too much.

On tap at REXKL, pours a hazy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma reveals an unusual harmony of notes - I get the tea and goji berries, with a rather herbal character. Flavour is semi-sweet, with lots of goji berries upfront, followed by some herbal tea, and light spiciness. Herbal and sweet. Fun stuff.

On tap at REXKL, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of lovely lemongrass upfront, with a soft floral character. Flavour is all lemongrass, with a very floral character that is clean and refreshing. Now this is a nice lemongrass beer.

On tap at Ales & Lagers, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Nose is pretty flat and washed out, with subtle piney hops, biscuity malt, and musty, earthy notes. Flavour is pretty similar, with washed out earthy hops, a tiny hint of pine, and biscuity malt. There's a rather dusty quality to this. It's alright.

On tap at Ales & Lagers, pours black with a medium, foamy tan head with lots of retention. Aroma is very roasted, with medium roasted malt, followed immediately by earthy, piney hops in skilled balance. Flavour is perhaps not quite as well balanced, but does strike a reasonable melding of roasted malt and piney hops. It also is a rather dusty, chalky feel to it. Dry, earthy finish, with a rather oily mouthfeel. Pretty solid stuff, though could use some minor tweaking.
