Bottle shared at chriso’s. Pours clear amber-orange with a frothy white head. Plenty of piney hops in the nose, bread, orange. Light-medium sweet flavor with grainy toast, pine, orange. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and oily texture. Moderate hoppy resins to finish, grains, pine. Simple stuff.

From a 568ml bottle on 10/6/2014. Pours a dark golden with a smallish head. Has a perhaps slightly stale fruity aroma with the touch of yeast at the back. The flavour features some sweet and sour citrus fruit up front (lemon, lime, mandarin, grapefruit), followed by some spicy Belgian yeast notes, and finishes off with a moderate dry bitterness. Has a medium to full body and slightly above average carbonation. While a long way from hitting the bullseye, I’ll give props to LC for producing something quite unusual and relatively interesting. Certainly much better than the current score would suggest in my humble opinion.

Bottle, 12C. Hazy amber with a white head. Earthy biscuity aroma with peaches, lemon and rather medicinal spices. Fairly light bodied. Sweet and peachy with some biscuit, low bitterness with lingering wound dressings, galangal and coriander. Odd, with a not entirely pleasant finish. Quite refreshing though. Don’t really know what to make of it.

In Port Douglas at the Salsa Bar and Grill. Pours gold with a thick ivory white head. Fruity nose. Flavors of citrus. Effervescent mouthfeel. Refreshing.

Bottle, 0.33l. Hazy pale amber color with medium creamy off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of tropical fruits, citrus, bread and honey. Taste starts with moderate sweet and smooth maltiness, following is fresh fruity and herbal, mouthfeel is pretty dry, while finish is medium bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Finally, good Aussie brew...

Dark brown, chocolatey, lightly spicy aroma. Mostly chocolate on the palate, w light spice and chewiness. Good brew. Only a little bit of rye.

From a 330ml bottle on 4/12/2013. Pours a slightly cloudy golden orange, with a smallish, thin head. It kicks off with a nice, light fruity aroma, which is perhaps a touch subdued by IPA standards. Taste wise, this isn’t a typical yank IPA clone - citrus and tropical fruit are really prominent (orange, lemon and mango), and there’s a bit of biscuity malt, followed by a firm yet relatively subtle zesty, herbal bitterness at the back. LC have made an IPA which is nicely balanced and a little bit unusual. A very welcome addition to the range.
