Light golden coloured body with a soapy white head and a bunch of bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of honey and flowers with a touch of light hops and malt. Light-bodied; Pungent hops up front with a decent amount of malt and a more refined and airy floral and herbal note toward the end. Aftertaste is very mild and is mostly dry and refreshing rather than flavourful. Overall, not a bad beer, just not too much flavours and a very mild and simple beer. I sampled this pint on draught at Cookie in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on 02-January-2010.

33cl bottle. Malty nose - strangely, the massive Cascade hops I normally get on this is not so evident on it this time, so may have to re-rate another time. Again the taste is not as hoppy as I remember. I think it has probably been tasted in the wrong order. Re-rating 08/04/11 - the massive Cascade hops is back. The taste is hoppy but balanced.

Bottle. Had this many times both here in Blighty and when on holiday in Australia. Amber/gold colored pour with a medium fluffy white head. Hoppy, citrus fruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, crisp, citrus fruit, orange, quite refreshing. Decent Aussie session pale ale.

[330ml bottle from Alfred the Grape, Marlow] Light amber with a negligible white head. Slight to moderate prickly carbonation. Aroma of pine and flowers. Taste of caramel at first, with some chewy, juicy fruit coming through with a bit of vanilla and pepper before a dry finish. Mouthfeel is a fantastic balance of light, frothy cream and those prickles. Lovely stuff, beautifully balanced, refreshing, a great beer that left me wanting another!

Pours amber with a large lasting head.Nose shows some herbal, grassy hops with soft sweet clean malt underneath. The herbal earthy hops continue as a flavour backed by sweet bready and cookie dough-like malt.Carbonation is a little high.No real faults, but I’ve never found EKG to be a particularly interesting hop variety.

Bottle. Clear amber with a large white head. Pears, light caramel, biscuit, some flowers and earth. Taste is then unexpectedly quite peppery upfront with some earthy bitterness prominent too. Very light malts are barely sweet. Far too carbonated mouthfeel. After sitting for a while pear and light biscuits emerge and the finish is more dry and earthy than astringent. Cries out to be served from a handpump.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Light crisp ale, reasonable carbonation. Slight bitterness. No great depth of flavour but drinkable.

From a 568ml bottle on 7/12/2010. Has a chocolately (think Chico lollies), toasty, coffee aroma. Has some nice chocolately sweetness upfront, followed by roasted flavours, and quite a long, almost tart hop finish. Goes down nicely and has a fair bit of character for something which is only 4.2%.
