Can. Clear deep brown with a pale beige head that settles to a good cm. Aroma of bitter chocolate, some roast, bread, spices. Just medium bodied. The chocolate registers as a taste that fills out the bottom end but even more as a presence on the palate - sneakily rich. But it's not all that sweet and light roast and bready flavours still speak and the end is bitter enough to tie things up. Slips down. Not a novelty beer.

Can (Aldi). Just unclear amber with a very loose soapy white head. 3- Aroma of tropical fruit with some citrus and light breadcrust. Dryish with a more citrus than tropical fruit, then some pepper at the fairly bitter end. Not very complicated but more than solid. Very good value @ $14.99 for 6. What makes this an ISA?

Can. Clear rosy amber with a good inch of white head that fades to a coat. Rather Ribena-like aroma with light biscuit and spices behind. Much less sweet than suggested by the aroma with more bread than biscuit and berries relegated to the background whilst spices firm things up before a moderately bitter finish. Pretty good.

Can. Somewhat cloudy orange with a white head that settles to a cm. 3+ Aroma of spiced lemon, orange, yuzu, crackers. There is a light spiced bread platform with some lusciousness but little sweetness before lots of citrus, some just ripe tropical fruit before some resin creeps in towards the fairly bitter finish. Doesn't say what the hops are - I'd guess Enigma is part of the story - but they're pungent just short of overbearing: a good place to land. And maybe that's the answer to whether it offers quite enough for its strength.

(Can) Pours cloudy golden amber with small white head. Lovely aroma - pine, orange notes, hint of biscuit. Medium body with plenty of fine carbonation. Great taste. Very much hops from start to finish with a good long, but not over the top, bitter finish. There’s hints of caramel malt towards the start. Maybe some alcohol burn towards the end. Very nice.

Can. Startlingly clear gold with a 3/2 inch white head that lasts pretty well. Floral & peppery aroma with bread with half the crusts cut off. Dryish but rounded bready malt. Very clean. Properly snappy finish that's bitter with floral and peppery notes tingling. Oh yes.
