Can. Slightly unclear amber with a good cm of white head. Aroma of kumquat, dank tropical and berry notes, oozing pine, bread. Some breadcrust sweetness melds with pine and fruit before a bitter finish with building resin. This is the 3rd of the three I've tried and it's between the UK and US versions - a fair bit closer to the US version but with a broader range of aromatics. Again, this comparison series really delivers. Interesting indeed. Now to tweak the underlying recipe to suit each hop, right?

Can. Amber. Unclear with a good cm of white head. Aroma of grapefruit, cut pine, breadcrust, weeds. Leanish with more pine and some dank rubbed mango skin/ dope notes coming through more than the citrus. Snappy bitter finish.

The series name is amusing. Can. Amber with a 2cm white head that never quite disappears. Aroma of pine, breadcrust, wizened berries, weeds. Surprisingly strong berries in the taste too, with pine settling in with the breadcrust. Moderately sweet before a fairly bitter finish. Pungent but the berries mean it seems less lean that I wanted. Interesting, though.

From a 440ml can on 3/8/2023. Pours a clear deep golden with little in the way of head. Has quite a strong coffee/tiramisu nose. The flavour features lighter elements of the coffee and tiramisu, but features a quite firm countering bitterness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Like the strawberries and cream edition, I don't get the barrel-aged element, but this has a fair bit going on and is very enjoyable.

Can - 8C. Clear amber with a good cm of off-white head. Oozy aroma of pine needles & twigs, kumquat, breadcrust. So it tastes. Just short of luscious malt with a long finish that gradually gathers up and funnels the flavours to a piney point. Feels majestic but not overly heavy. Alcohol is dangerously well hidden. Hawkers do big IPAs well and this is perhaps their best so far.

Can. Slightly cloudy amber with a good cm of white head. Aroma of very ripe passionfruit, green herbs, herb, kumquat. Oozy and dank with breadcrust melding into dope and tropical notes before a bitter finish that's less distinct than the early harvest version. Interesting, educational, good. Curious that neither version has much of a gooseberry aspect.

The 3 different Citra beers from earlier this year were interesting enough to make this experiment appealing. Can. Almost clear amber with a large near white head. Aroma of grapes, grassy/ herbal notes, some oranges, bread. Leanish with breadcrust and some fruit before a punchy grassy, spicy and slightly resinous fairly bitter finish.

Bottle. Somewhat unclear brown with just a few bubbles. Aroma of bread, toffee, pine, wild herbs. Fullish bodied with very low carbonation (which suits it fine). Sweet with breadcrust with a burst of booze (nothing raw), herbs and bitterness at the end. Very nice indeed.

From a 440ml can on 5/7/2023. As much beer as I've drunk, I'm not really familiar with the concept of the white stout. Pours a pinky red with a medium head. Features a mild strawberry nose. It certainly does have a strawberries and cream flavour - moderately sweet with a light tangy finish. Has a lightly creamy mouthfeel with average carbonation. Don't get the barrel aged part at all. Pleasant enough and actually quite refreshing (not a word usually associated with a stout!), if a little subdued overall.

Can at Scugnizzo restaurant, Melbourne. A quaffable IPA that felt slightly on the sickly sweet side of the pale ale category. Light looking.
