500ml can bought at Fox Glacier. A pale straw coloured pour with a thin white head and light carbonation; sweet floral aroma; unpleasant floral taste with a bready body; and a dry metallic finish. Very unappealing.

Tap at Moons in Gore. Clear golden with white head. Light dry malts, soft creamy notes, a bit of fruit. Yeah, seems like a standard lager alright, though somewhat decent malts here. Medium sweet and bitter. Over light bodied.

Can on the plane from Shanghai. Nice looking can I guess. Light bready malts, a bit of honey, fresh paper and newly cut wood. There’s soft pils malts too. All quite subdued and light, but no off notes. Soft grassy hops with a touch of kiwi (haha), and light creamy oats in the finish. Over light sweet and light bitter. Over light bodied with crisp lager feel. Decent but very bland.

330ml bottle. Pours cola colour. Toast, lavender, chocolate, pear, almond, marzipan, touch doughy. Medium body. Fine. Not a bad schwarzbier, but not a particularly good one either.

330ml bottle. Pours gold amber. Caramel, sweetcorn, little too much acidity, fair hit of estery stuff. Medium body. Not great.

On tap at the airport. Pours gold. Sulphur, veg, malt vinegar, something a touch stone fruit in the flavour. Not great.

Purchased locally.
It pours a straw gold with a large head of foam(near room temp) and some lacing. The head retention is better than I thought it would be.
The smell has notes of hop bitterness and corn husks. Not particularly inviting but...
The taste of the corn husk flavour is pretty strong and the hops inject some bitterness but don't add any real flavour. Light bodied and pretty well carbonated, it's not a bad tasting brew at all; it goes down easy enough and there's not much of an aftertaste so it's okay for occasional consumption.
