Can. Dark reddish brown with a fluffy pale beige head. Aroma of chocolate, mild roast, floral and peppery hops. So it tastes - hints of stewed fruit too. A bit sweet before peppery bitterness.

Brown, persistent beige head, and extravagant lacing. Aroma of toffee, chocolate, bread. Fairly rich but dryish w discreetly spiced bitterness that’s careful not to be too prominent.

Can. Opaque orange with a small white head. Aroma of grapefruit flesh, oranges, light bread. Somewhat chalky. Lots of fruit - some peach too - with some herbal notes such that it's as much astringent as bitter.

Can. Just misted pale gold with a fading white head. Aroma of gooseberries, some grapefruit, mango, hints of honeydew melon (there’s no bold honeydew melon aroma, but you know), slight bread crust. Dryish and light bodied but the crust keeps it from being gutless. Very nice hop blend (Kiwi/ US).

Banger of an IPA. Aromas of malted biscuit, toast caramel honey and pine needles. Lovely mouthfeel. Can from JS shared at VB.

Can, Ritchies Balnarring. Misted amber with a small white head. Aroma of grapefruit, peach, pine, crusty bread. Clean, medium bodied. Stone fruit, pine, less grapefruit than suggested by the aroma. Lower bitterness than I then expected which makes the finish pleasantly brief.

Can. Clear copper with a coat of pale beige head. Aroma of biscuit, spices, caramelised pears, some boiled orange. Sweet with caramel and biscuit, some citrus before stinging spicy bitterness. Satisfying drop.

Tap. Hazy orange, brief white head. Tropical aroma with guava, oranges, some herbs. Light bodied with crackers, tropical fruit and some brackeny herbs. A little bitterness and astringency. Refreshing.

Tap. Black. Small but immaculately retained tan head. Roasty aroma with syrupy mocha, some whisky, caramel, light oak. Very smooth with creamy caramel. Big and sweet with insistent bitterness. Oak creeps up and is more peppery but never overbearing. Dangerously well hidden alcohol. Stunning.
