Unfortunately this tasted very cheesy and it ruined the experience for me.

Draft at the London Brewers Market April 2016. Pours mostly clear, deep amber-gold with a frothy, off-white head. The nose holds ripening citrus, minerals, toasty malts. Medium sweet flavour with strong flinty minerality, bitter pine and grass, orange rind, bread. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. A little chewy. Lightly warming on the finish, resinous, with more strong flinty minerals, a little gooey pine, orange rind. Not bad.

Bright clear gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Light pale malts, fair bit of lactose. Sweetish jasmine, traces of pine and marmalade. Light semi dry finish see the sweet malt coming back. A bit too malty but okay.

Cask at the Lamb, London WC1. A good looking stout, almost black with a tan colour lasting head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, oats and touch of mild spice. Light sweetness, heavy and lasting level of toasted bitterness. Medium body, texture is smooth. Minimal carbonation. Long dry bitter finish.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2015, day 1 - London. Pours clear orange-gold with a light, creamy head. Dry smoked malts in the aroma, some bread, ham. Light sweet flavour with notes of lightly toasted caramel, earth, smoked ham, subtle leafy bitterness. Light bodied, a little oily, with fine carbonation. Finishes with some earthy bitterness, more smoked ham, leaves, dried caramel. It’s OK stuff.
