Description
We forged Firebrand in 2012 in a converted milking parlour on the untamed edge of Bodmin Moor, North Cornwall. The idea was born from our passion for beer made from all-natural ingredients, Cornish spring water, and American hops.
We brew beer that we love to drink and pride ourselves on our craft. Whether it’s a Hazy Vegan IPA or a Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, we regularly refine and tweak our recipes to brew the best beer we can.
Originally launched because the co-owner and head brewer of Penpont Brewery Joe Thompson wanted to brew a more modern style so Firebrand Brewing Co. was created.

Tried at Botel, Looe, Cornwall. Can describes it as a Hazy IPA, not a NEIPA

29/1/2026. Cask at the 17th Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Pours fine. Aroma is veggie, stewed, starchy, malty, caramel. Quite sweet, moderate bitterness and body. Soft carbonation. Didn’t enjoy this one.

330ml can. Pours a hazy copper amber with a large, frothy, long lasting, beige head that leaves thick patches of soapy lace. Aroma of biscuity pale malt, nuts and herbal hops. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, orange, nuts and herbal hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Malt forward. Meh.
