(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Sweet grainy malty nose with a tinge of dust and sour dough. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Soft grainy and doughy taste with a shy hoppy bitterness in the finish. Boring but drinkable Lager (30.IV.09).

08/04 0.5 l bottle courtesy of Doggythedog, thanks for sharing! It poured golden body with medium sized head. Weaker lemony and grassy aroma with malty base behind. Pretty fine hoppy flavor, in nice lemony way. Have also sweetish malts, with an alcohol touch, from which reminds to a bock. Not particularly full bodied, but pleasant. Slightly dry, bitterish finish. I liked this one pretty much, not really one of a typical marzens.

0.5l bottle found in Graz (the Merkur in Seiersberg I reckon), shared with heavy. Poured a golden body with a medium sized head that went away fast. Very light malty nose, bit dry. Sweetish light flowery taste, dry bitterish light finish and aftertaste from the hops. Weak soapy cardboard too. The initial impression was better. Just ok.

Bottle, 6.0%. Lagery aroma. Clear grey amber colour. Semi-stable, frothy white head. The flavour is vinous with some alcohol. Has a little sour note along with a malty and spicy touch. Good mouthfeel.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts fine malty, not too dry. Finish warming, a bit prickly. Good one!

Bottle, 5.1%. Mild bready aroma. Clear yellow colour. Stable white head. The flavour has a little sweet malt and a faint flowery aroma hop note. Clean but boring.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts a bit washy, very mild, very fine hoppy notes. The finish is a little bit more intense, modest spicy and wheaty. An average märzen! --- Beer aliased from original tick of Chickis Märzen on 29 Jul 2018 at 07:30 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5.5. Original review text: Bottle looks very simple. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Dry malty aroma. Starts mild, malty, more and more dry, mild bitterness. Finish unbalanced. Nothing special.
