Panda thanks to Ibrew2or3: Poured a dark bark brown with a frothy off white head. Aroma is sweet rich malts, burnt caramel, nutty. Taste is rich malts, a tad sweet forward but then bitter earthiness comes in. Pretty interesting.

Expensive 12oz bottle pours with a clear deep copper colored body that supports an off white head of foam. The modest aroma offers up some fig to plum to date like fruity esters as well as murmurs of maltiness and a faint mineral sensation. What is the flavour expectation from a 22% abv beer? Oh my. There's so much malty goodness going on here. Sweet base malts give way to some biscuit malts, special roast and other toasted malts. To midway sweeter fig to plum to date like fruity esters bubble to the surface. There's more going on here I can't put words to. The massive abv is well restrained somehow. This is such a solid sipper and there's a chance I may get more even though the price is through the roof. It's that good.

25.4oz oil can pours with a crystal clear deep copper to mahogany colored body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up thin caramel malts leading to spicy hops and spicy black strap molasses. The taste delivers a blend of spicy bitter hops and spicy black strap molasses rimmed thinly by sweetness. The hop bitterness ratchets up a bit to midway with vague hoppiness tinged with a sense of floral hoppiness. This drinks pretty nice.

25.4oz oil can pours with a crystal clear deep gold colored body that supports a thin white head of foam. The aroma offers up spicy to herbal and then moderately dark crystal like maltiness and a few other malt layers I can't quite describe. The taste delivers a smooth layer of slightly roasted to slightly caramel malts quickly giving way to a nice load of spicy to slightly floral to some herbal hop bitterness. This is working great. Plenty of crispiness and bitterness to go along with a perfect mouthfeel. This is a crusher.

25.4oz crowler pours with a deep copper to mahogany colored body that supports a full off white head of foam. The aroma offers up plum, date and fig like fruity esters as well as thin clouds of spicy to floral hoppiness. The taste delivers smooth sweet plum to date like fruity esters followed quickly by a pleasing spicy hop to floral hop to woodsy hoppy bite. To midway a sliver of reduced sugars is noticed as the massive ABV tries to be heard but never really gains much ground. This comes together nicely. Another few sips and murmurs of various strata of maltiness are noticed ranging from mildly sweet to modestly roasty. This tries to be a big bold strong ale and fully delivers. Fun sipper.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a dark dark mahogany colored body that supports a nice tan head of foam. The aroma offers up 120L crystal malts, dark roasted malts, some chocolate malts and a hit of charred maltiness. The taste delivers loads and loads of highly roasted malts mixed with thin notes of chocolate and earthy soft wet tobacco. Wow. In your face dark roastiness but grounded nicely in the modest body and mild earthiness. Solid robust porter.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a crystal clear pure gold body that supports a thin light tan head of foam that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up floral hops blended with sweet malts flowing into a bit of spicy like Noble hoppiness. The taste delivers crisp notes of spicy and mild floral hops wrapped up by a pleasing biscuit like maltiness. In the background is a lagery faintly estery sensation. This is good. Easy drinking... for the whole day.

Poured up on tap at the brewing where it exhibits a clear copper body that supports a near white head of foam. The aroma offers up a sense of crystal malts, biscuit malts, a dash of dark roasted malts and then that mild spicy hoppiness. The taste delivers the same forward dark crystal malts fused with maybe biscuit and a dash of dark roasted maltiness. As the malts hit so too does the bitter spicy hops, a bite of bitter floral and some spicy earthy herbal hoppiness. This has loads of flavor and plenty of hop bitterness. Fun throwback IPA. Reminds me of the 90’s.
