Description
Box Social Brewing was established in 2015 by father and son duo Steve and Ross Holland. The brewery's aim is to create new and exciting beers to get people talking to each other and question their perception of beer.
After a long time working out of Steve's garage, brewing beer really just for ourselves, we decided to take the plunge and set up shop in a small industrial estate in Newburn on a 6 Barrel kit. We built a small tasting room on site so people could come and taste the freshest beer possible and began working on our beer range. Four years later, we were selling out of beer faster than we could make it and decided we had to take the next step.
We moved into our new 15 Barrel brewery in February 2019. This has allowed us to create not only better beer, but more of it!

Waarom zou je pindakaas en bourbon in een milkshake ipa willen? Slechtste idee ooit

440mml.can. @home, 28/06/2019. Dark brown colour with a medium tan head. Poor retention. Aroma is smoked malts, vanilla, marshmallows and licorice. Taste is smoked malts and marshmallows leading to an intense roasty finish. Vanilla aftertaste. Too roasty for my taste. Nect one please!

Very solid Westcoaster. Malty backbone with a good bit of hops thrown in. Bitter citrus, some resin, indistinct fruit and a lot of bitter. Not much subtlety, but the right kind of flavours. Not much resin and pine, fortunately.

Keg @ Station. Pours hazy pink, pinkish white head. Indistinct berry nose. Taste has some light raspberry and lactose, not sure about the cheesecake. Expected a little more rosy raspberry flavours and smoother creamier body to warrant the cheesecake tag, but it's ok.

Can from Bottle Baron. Murky amber body with an off-white head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of wood, peach, red berries and pomegranate seeds. Flavour of caramel, pine and tomato juice with a bitter finish. Medium body with a smooth texture. Light fizz. Raw and hoppy. Nice.

440ml can. Cloudy, amber colour with small to average, frothy, collapsing, off-white head. Nutty aroma, hints of peanut, a touch of peanut butter, vanilla, toffee. Taste is minimally sweet-ish, caramel malty and nutty, hints of peanut, peanut butter, a touch of toffee and vanilla, citrusy hoppy overtones with a mandarine touch. A bit strange.
