Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent gold with a creamy/foamy white head that laced down a little. Aroma is pineapple with a coconut note. Med body. Juicy, but towards dry. Lots of pineapple - including the taste of the inside ring or maybe the part near the skin. Moderately bitter. Flavor is a little earthy, some white berry, but pineapple dominates. Interesting and flavorful.

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent gold with a foamy off-white head. Aroma is mixed fruits - mostly pale stone. Med plus body. It's rather dry and more than moderately bitter. Citrus with pale stone fruits and a touch of mango. Perhaps it's a bit old, as the flavors are not firm. Drinkable, but not as expected from a NEIPA.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours a huge gusher - huge. Flood your palate - table, not palate. Color after things calmed down is a dark gold with a transient white head. Aroma of cooked malt with citrus and melon. Med + body. Flavor is more or less the aroma. Flavors don't mix all that nicely.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours translucent gold with a large foamy off-white head. Aroma is quite fruity, but doesn't seem tropical. Med body. Carbonation isn't strong. It's fruity, but well towards dry, and has a very nice level of bitterness. Fruit seems pale stone and citrus with some pine popping in. Good flavor.

500 ml bottle from Temblor, a birthday present picked up by my daughter for me. Nose is chocolate, roast, and hints of vanilla and bourbon. Black with a medium tan head. Lots more carbonation than the other two versions. Flavor is chocolate, light sweetness, and vanilla.

500 ml, a birthday present my daughter got from Temblor! Nose is light rum and vanilla with some cocoa and roastiness. Black with a thin layer of tan bubbles. Flavor is lightly sweet chocolate with a hint of charred wood.

500 ml bottle from Temblor Brewing that my daughter got for me. Nose is maple, vanilla, chocolate, with a little roasty smokiness. Black with a small amount of cinnamon bubbles, definitely not overcarbonated. Flavor is moderately sweet with a hint of pepperiness and vanilla caramels and maple.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours clear darkish mahogany with a huge creamy beige head that turned foamy with a bit of lacing. Aroma of German lightly toasty malt with a hint of floral hop. Med body. Not sure about rye, but the malt start quickly turned to something suggesting rye. Not dry, but not overly sweet. Floral/grassy bitter. Really nice Okto.
