Draft at Temblor. Nose is bourbon, oak, vanilla, and a bit of chocolate, the bourbon covering most of it. Black with a medium, cinnamon tan head. flavor is bourbon forward with hints of sweet and bitter.

Sample at the brewpub. Brown-black color with a medium tan head that recedes gradually to a dense film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Roast malt, chocolate and coffee aroma. Light-bodied with flavors of chocolate malt, coffee and slight hops. The finish is sweet with a chocolatey and slightly metallic aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the brewpub. Brown-black color with a medium light beige head that dissipates steadily to a dense film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Malt, chocolate and coffee aroma. Light-bodied with a roasty malt and coffee character with sweet chocolate in the background. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the brewpub. Dark brown color with some amber around the edges, and a medium thin light beige head that dissipates quickly to a thin film. Spotty lacing on the glass. Roasted malt, coffee and slight hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of roast malt, mild coffee and a touch a earthy hop. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.
