Tap. Pours clear Ruby black, medium off white head that dissipates to a ring and has decent lacing. Aroma is light, roasty, a bit burned, toast. Flavor is light sweet, roasted bread, roasted malts, minimal bitterness. Quite tasty, actually. Light plus body.

Tap at West Coast Invitational 2015. Pours hazy orange gold with a white head. Aroma is fruity/citrus/banana. Apparently a particular monastery yeast was used that is a banana champ. Med + body. Flavor is lots of banana; some clove. Wow!

Tap at the brewpub. Pours very dark brown/black; tan head. Aroma of toasty malt and citrus hints. Med body or better. Flavor is some chocolate, some arguably citrus hop, and some milky darkish chocolate. Very nice. Hope I was right about the chocolate!

Tap at the brewpub. Pours ruddy and dark with a beige head. Aroma is sweet malt. Med +body. Flavor is malty, a little spicy/treacle - the flavor is somewhat unfamiliar to me - don’t think it’s rye. Finishes well away from dry with a hint of bitter.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours dark hazy amber, lightly ruddy, with an off-white head. Aroma is earthy/citrus. Med body. Flavor is malt forward, but that’s quickly resolved by a wave of earthy citrus. It’s a heavy, rather malty IPA. Must be well balanced. Quite tasty.

Apparently this is also "Winter Brown Ale". Menu used OPDRHA, list of pours used Winter Brown Ale. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of Xmas spices. Med + body. Flavor is brownly malty (but not treacle) and a good dose of Xmas spices. Well done, but not over done. Good!

Tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown/black with a tan head. Aroma of dark malt and maybe coffee. Full bodied. Flavor is smooth rich dark malt, aspects of dark fruit, and very arguably coffee. So good it seems to have come from a barrel. Very good IS.
