The Kaiserdom Specialitäten Brauerei Bamberg has existed since 1718
and is the largest of the twelve breweries in Bamberg.
It has been owned by the Wörner family for over 100 years.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is grainy, malty, cardboardy and a bit rubbery. Flavour is rotten fish, cardboard and grains.

Draught. Pale brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, some hops and quite much caramel. Flavour is quite much the same. The barstaff claimed this beer is the same as the bottled beer called Altbairisch Dunkel, when I tried to ask if I can buy a bottle of the Dunkel...

Draught. Amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is caramel, some hops, yeast, earth and some wooden notes. Mild fruity tone as well. Flavour is malts, wood and some herbal notes.

0.5L bottle, small head, clear pale yellow colour, rich malty aroma with some herbal hoppy notes and some fruity notes. Strong bitterness with some underlying sweetness and metalic traces, body is a touch light. Good easy drinking.

0.5L bottle, colour some where between lightish orange and quite hazy, light citrus aroma, with some cinamon, weak flavours of orange with a light sourness, light body. Bland and boring.

Bottle, 5.2%. 2 months past BB date. Rough hop aroma. Clear golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour has some malt, but also a bit of sewer. The bitterness is OK, but there is also a little plastic or paint note in the finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Mild caramel and crisp hoppy aroma. Bitter and slight breadish with a crisp hops note towards the finish. Ends medium dry and bitter.

50 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe/Ungstrup. Pours clear and golden yellow with diminished white head. ild malty and slight grassy aroma. Smooth caramel malty flavour with a mild grassy note and light bitterness coming through. Smooth and bitter finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours pale and clear yellow with a huge white head. Light grassy aroma. Light mouldy flavoured and flat malty. Minor if no bitterness. Light spiced though. Ends flat and boring.
