8/3/2022. Bottle sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours clear pale gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is sweet, honey, citrus, caramel, slightly woody and musty. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness, light sour edge. Medium body, oily, average carbonation. Quite liked it.

Bottle at home, thanks to Bearded Avenger, catch up from tasting 25/11/21. Clear light golden with some vague spotting that soon evaporates. Nose is honey, herb, grains, earthy tones. Taste comprises bitter sweet aspects, balanced honey, herb, grass, light spice, lychee, vague green berry notes. Full bodied, oily feel, rising alcoholic warmth. No wow but a serviceable mead ... perhaps better a few weeks later!
