Light golden coloured body with a thinnish, pale white head, that starts at just two centimetres tall and fades quite quickly. Aroma of tea, light grain, a dose of lemongrass, some herbs and a dash of flowers towards the end. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong herbal and grassy flavours at first with a strong and pungent hop note that then shows some grassy and funky notes with a light herbal and assertive hop profile that shows the tropical and citrus fruits more than anything. Aftertaste shows some light fruits and citrus notes with quite a bit of bitterness from the grassy and very herbal hops, noticeable at the end. Overall, a nice option considering the other pale lagers here, but in terms of an IPA in America, this is a bit underwhelming. I preferred the Pasteur Street Jasmine to this one, as well. I sampled this stubby, 33 cL bottle purchased from Circle K (165-167 Le Thanh Ton) in Saigon, Vietnam on 08-August-2019 for 74,000VND sampled a day later on 09-August-2019 on my tenth wedding anniversary in Saigon, Vietnam.

Hazy golden and lightly orange coloured body with a thinnish, very pale white head that fades quite quickly. Aroma of coriander seed, light corn, a dose of curacao, some good amount of cloves with a solid and funky yeast and wheat bite that hits nicely. Light-bodied; Strong coriander seed flavour at first with a nice wheat and funky spice note showing some subdued curacao and full orange notes with a dose of hay and flowers towards the end. Aftertaste shows the grain and more malty/wheatie side of this with a dash of curacao and coriander seed freshness towards the very end. The light amount of sugars comes through at the end, but this finishes nice and easy. Overall, a solid and enjoyable, while being thoroughly refreshing, especially in the Vietnamese heat. Tap at Biacraft District 3, Ho Chi Minh City. Poured a hazy reddish amber with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The flavour is toffee malt, light sweet fruits, light dry hop. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a smooth, toffee apple malt, yeasty, dry floral woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Tap at the Urban Basement, HCMC. Poured a clear light golden colour with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is malt, yeast, woody hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a malt, dry yeasty, floral dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a long bitter finish. The hop combo really didn’t work too well for me. The floral bitter palate wasn’t pleasant and it seemed to last forever. Needs a little more work.

On tap at Urban Basement, pours a hazy golden with a medium white foamy head. Aroma brings out light wheat and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is clean and subdued, with soft biscuity malt and a touch of wheat. Light bitterness on the finish. Pleasant but uninteresting.

Tap at Biacraft, District 3, HCMC. Poured a clear light copper colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, citrus hop, light banana. The flavour is light bitter with a light fresh fruity light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not a great example of the style but rather hoppy and drinkable all the same.
